    • What's included in a medical nutrition assessment?

This is where we assess your weight history (anthropometry), recent blood test results and determine need for additional testing (if required), you and your partner’s fertility, medical history & family history. We conduct a thorough gut health assessment, menstrual cycle health assessment (if appropriate), supplement and medication use, exercise and lifestyle review, as well as a thorough diet history, including your likes and dislikes. We pride ourselves on the comprehensiveness of our assessments to ensure we have a clear picture of your holistic wellbeing.

At the end of the assessment you will receive:

      - Supplement protocol (his + hers)

      - Initial nutrition recommendations - a clear achievable action plan to get you started

      - Written fact sheets & recipes

      - A summary letter for your GP/Specialist with a request for additional blood tests

      - Recommended follow up plan

    • How many appointments will I need?

This depends on you. This can vary from 1-2 review appointments to more comprehensive input such as 7 review appointments. The good news, if you do require more comprehensive follow up, we have a selection of programs & payment plans available. At the end of your nutrition assessment, we will advise you what level of follow up we recommend.

    • Do you sell supplements?

No. We don't sell any supplements here at Fertility Nutrition. But we can prescribe practitioner only supplements which you can then purchase directly from the distributing company. This gives you the added benefit of getting access to the best quality supplements which aren't available over the counter, at below retail prices.

    • Are all your appointments virtual?

Yes! We're an online practice, so we can see you from the comfort of your own home. When you book an appointment you can select your time zone to find a time that suits you best. We work with clients from all around the globe and we'd love to help you too.

    • How soon before wanting to conceive should I book an appointment?

Ideally a minimum of 3 months before conception. The first 1000 days starts prior to conception, and extends up until around your child's second birthday. The vast majority of people have nutritional gaps in their diets. Preconception, conception, pregnancy and breastfeeding are all times where optimal nutrition status is critical for laying solid foundations for your child's brain development and risk for disease as an adult.

We also know it takes approx. 3 months to improve the quality of egg and sperm. So, to create healthy embryos and help give your child the best start to life, we recommend booking an appointment at least 3 months prior to conception. The longer you're able to make nutrition and lifestyle changes the better for you and your fertility outcomes. But, addressing your nutrition at any stage during the first 1000 days is only going to be advantageous.

    • Do you help women with hormone balance?

Yes. We have in-depth understanding of the female reproductive system and the role that hormones play in our day to day wellbeing. We have helped hundreds of women address their root cause to hormone imbalance and improve their quality of life.
